yup they do, they get all metallic gold with velvety black.
 
I have had the female about 8 months, she a wild caught from Nicaragua, got the little male 2 weeks ago, also wild caught from costa rica water shed, it was love at first sight. hence the fry.

I wish mine would rear fry in harmony like that.....I put the divider back up after this latest spawn of wrigglers... female was abusing the larger male....

she is pretty cool with him, tables may change when he gets some size to him.

3rd pic I see a tooth....5months 10 days old.... I did some hand feeding training today in giving them raw shrimp and having them take it from my fingers....
