My family had a lovely JRT named Guinness. This dog was in my eyes the ultimate family pet and my young sons best friend. Guinness never showed aggression to any family member or outsiders. He was obedience trained and home trained. One afternoon our 3 old son found a frog and picked it up with curiosity. Guinness turned on him. He leaped on him knocking him to the ground and then stood on his chest and was snapping at his face. My wife went over and the dog went after her grabbing her around the ankle causing a several open wounds. I grabbed him off her and put him in his portable cage. The dog was put down that day. That was the end of dogs in this family. The most loving little dog turned on his family. Why? We will never know but it was an absolute eye opener for us.

Hello; A similar thing happened with my next door neighbor's dog. A dog raised from a pup turned on a family member. They now have two much smaller dog breeds. The dogs are not well trained to obedience but are well cared for and given lots of attention and affection.

Just as I will not label my neighbors as bad owners, I will not be a party to any such inference toward you. This sort of thing happens to people who are not "bad owners".

Since you didn't get them the first time go back and reread the questions posed. If you still do not get them, ask and they can be repeated in smaller, more easily understandable words. Know who you're talking to before trying to call them out.
I could care less who you are and I already read your ridiculous questions. Hang on let me read them again..... oh man, supposedly is such a big word, what does that mean dragon fish? Can you repeat that without such a thick troll accent so us mere humans can understand? No one questions those things because nobody would train animals to fight around a child

I had an old english bulldog named capone not like the common pudgy bulls you see. Any way the dog was great with kids and the family but once he hit the 6 or 7 year mark he kind of changed. Bit a ups mailman once also had a con ed worker pinned to the wall and would always try and attack any dogs bigger than him. Going to the dog park became a problem always attacking larger dogs. I guess something snaps in them and cant be explained. Before this he would never show aggression towards strangers and would act crazy and excited when ever anyone gave him attention. The ups worker was actually "friends" with him before getting bit.

these kinds of unforeseeable dog acts are why owners are not always presumed liable for every bite. The single most condemning thing is when you knew of any previous attack behavior (ANY bite) by your dog and you failed to keep people safe from it after that.
In some states, dog owners are given a “one bite free” pass under the law. This means that they are basically let off the hook the first time their dog bites someone. After that, it's all on the owner.
Not every state allows a first bite "pass", though.

Must be a crappy feeling if it were your dog that injured a little kid... cant imagine the guilt

some stats in a California news article today that are food for thought:

".....Insurance companies in California received 1,919 dog bite claims last year, costing a total of $64.7 million -- the highest [number of claims] of any state in the U.S., according to a report from the Insurance Information Institute and State Farm.....................
All told, encounters with Fido account for more than one-third of liability costs for homeowners insurance. "
...........Just behind California, New York saw 965 dog bite claims totaling $41.6 million last year. The $43,122 average surpassed even the Golden State's $33,709.

Hello; Saw this when browsing today. It seems there are several stories of pets behaving well and seeming to have insight beyond what might be considered normal for a dog or cat. I like to interpret these stories as the pets having some understanding and making a decision. These incidents appear to go beyond any sort of training or socialization I am aware of. There are some extraordinary animals around.
