I absolutely hate the smell of diesel. The sounds not alot better either. Sounds like metal rattling around.

Lol, I think my favorite smell in the whole world is 110 Octane mixed with VHT on a cold winter night, it's either that or turkey :D
I also HATE diesel exhaust, and to me diesels sound like shaking a tin can of rocks.

Diesel gets way better gas mileage. And can't forget about all the torque. Plus I love the way they sound and smell.

They're real cheap to fix too..... LMAO.

Ever priced an engine? Newer Jeeps run some Italian crap that's almost $30K for a long block. Ever foot the bill for oil changes on these things with "way better mileage"? Getting close to $10 a quart and there's how many quarts? Ever priced a particulate filter? Whoa.

They're for towing. That's it. Unless you want to count the people that trash them by misusing them - which is not working them and treating them like your regular everyday driver.

People think it's cool to "roll coal" but most aren't on the receiving end of repair bills very long before they're back to a normal gasser - or in this day and age a little force fed 4 popper.

They sell you on the mileage, but believe me - they get their money back... That mileage costs more then most will admit when factoring in maintenance and repairs. End result is being so upside down in the vehicle that you're stuck with it.

Four popper...I just recently learned that the Toyota Camry runs on a four cylinder engine, very interesting considering the size of the car.

I've never seen or heard of a diesel motor for that much. Well at least a light duty motor.

You don't have to do oil changes every 3000miles either. It's recommended at 8000-10000. My ex girlfriends dad had his diesel truck for 20 years. It was a 93 dodge. It had 521,000 before he got rid of it for a newer dodge. Didn't even get rebuilt before he sold it ( I DO NOT recommend going that far on any motor without a rebuild).

Diesel is the future. Just look at the new Volkswagen ( I believe it's a VW), it gets an estimated 300 mpg.

I love diesels. Its funny I used to work in parts for some years, I was a salesman for Napa for a couple, I know how bad diesels are to fix. I feel obligated to disuade kids at work not to buy old clapped out diesel trucks which were improperly lifted and covered in banks stickers. "Hey kid you know what a lift pump or fuel delivery module cost?"

And I love my 4 popper. Ive always hated Hondas until i owned one. Ive had a 99 accord for several years, and it's gotten me through some serious dark times. Times where I could barely make rent and the slightest breakdown would've sent me on the street or crying back to mom and dad. It always got me to work, never a hang up despite having over 200k miles on the clock. I still drive it. It had all oem parts on it at 186k when i bought, and i did a major overhaul on it last year. You can say what you want about that grocery getter, but it's hard to deny those Japanese make a tough little car.
