Hows your toothy bunch Souzie? Have they mellowed out?

Oh and -5 for me. I think I killed my new group of albino Tiger Barbs with GBD :( ...oh well, at least I'm aware now. I always thought it was cute how much they loved playing in the new water current :'(

Ding ding ding ding!!! :clap

I can't get a decent picture of them. The little buggers move so fast and they're so tiny!

Sadly, I can't get these in CA lol.
Back when I still live in NJ I started out with 12 RBP and 2 years later I downed to 5 :D the weakest one will get kill then the next weakest one in the group will be new target....they are good with the pecking order by killing the weakest one :D

Would target feeding help, trying to get more protein to the little guy?

Oh no! :(

How are you refilling the water...is your inlet hose above the water level?

My boys...hopefully they're all boys LOL...they're doing better. They don't hide as much but they won't eat in front of me. I have to throw in food, leave the room and when I come back, everything is gone. They've settled down enough for me to take better pictures of them.

Meet my little army...Daryl, Rick, Glenn, Abe and Carl :headbang2:

Great looking bunch!! :D Glad to hear they're doing better. You'll have to be patient. I remember I would freak my fish out every day when I turned the lights on or off. They didn't like me directly in front of the tank, so for a while I snuck up the sides to turn lights out, they outgrew this. I also played close attention to how I approached and left the tank, who was around the tank and how they viewed the fish, kids can be hard on fish till they learn. I really think this stuff molds personality in a lot of fish. Maybe next feeding, don't leave. Sit quietly in a corner across.
As for my water changes, I fill a bucket with tap, treat it, and dump it in. My Tiger Barbs would not leave me alone the whole time. Matter of fact, the first time I lost one, it was sucked out during a WC. I literally have to wave the hose back n forth so they don't get sucked up or they pick the hair off my arm! Then they seemed to love playing in the flow of new water. All of the sudden they started ballooning up and dying. I'm pretty sure it's GBD as I have seen bubbles form.

One of them likes to hide alot. He'll swim with the shoal for a bit and go back into hiding. Their first night here, I woke up in the morning, couldn't find him and thought "Oh sheeeet...they ate him."

Found him in my pothos roots. :D

I always turn the room lights up or down before I touch their light so they're okay with that. When I walk up to the tank, they get spooked and scatter and after a few minutes, they go back to what they were doing and don't mind me watching them. It's just when they eat LOL...but it's only been a week so I'm sure they'll get used to me being around. :)

I've read that GBD was mainly the result of super saturated gasses in the water. Maybe let your water sit for 15 minutes before dumping it in or a powerhead for surface agitation while filling up the tank?

Aw, give em a little time :)
Yeah, I'm just about finished with a WC rig I'm building. Going to start aging, heating, and aerating my water now, or soon should I say. I swear I could smell gas coming off the water when it comes out of the tap.
