Get your Aimara off live food, and put him on pellet and whole fish cut in pieces, Zeke. Soon, he'll come greed you everytime you're in the room, just like these guys. BTW, Ricky Rubio was lurking in the back court at the time I took the picture. I tried, but couldn't capture all of them in one shot
Thanks. Right now they're with some catfish, clown knife, brycon. I had them with silver dollar, peacock bass, datnoid, arowana in the pastDamn you're stunting JL! I love the pack of em? What're they being kept with?
Yes, I was able to get all 5 together for about a year - 17", 18", 19", 20", and 22". The biggest guy was the last one join the group. The other 4 were together at least a year before I introduced the big guy, when they were 12", 12", 14" and 15". Big guy was 18" then. He doesn't play nice with another aimara, so I need the others to put on some girth. You know how they first came in, long and slender. Funny thing is that he fought with another aimara same size, but he didn't bother those 10"-12" Mala that were in same tank with him. My bigger 3 came from Wes, and I believe they're all from northern Brazil/Suriname region. The two smaller came from Rich-Infinity Aquatics, and they're from Venezuela. Wes can help you to build a pack just like that. If not because of personal matter, I would be all over those new guys he brought in to strengthen my pack. They'll hit 14"-15" in no time.JL - You have 5 all in the same tank? What is the range of sizes?
That's a pic I really did NOT need to see.
How can one not interest in a fish that constantly get in his face, keep him on his toe during feeding and tank cleaning time, Wes? I couldn't know that without your hard work! My first Aimara was from you. Once I sort out everything here, I'll pay you a visit. It's been killing me to read your stock list, and can't get over there. Take care Wes!nice wolves, glad to see JL post pictures again and glad to see so much interest in these fish!
