Bad ending? You raised ATF to the size they ate 12" Cuda? I'd be proud to have accomplished that..... Atf aren't very easy to get big.

Was there any aggression amongst your group? Ironic we both went with 8..... lol

Ever try mixing Cuda and Odoe?

Lol my reason for eight was because that's all my lfs had. There was little to no aggression that I can remember between the cudas, but they usded to pick on the ATF when they were around the same size... My ATF wasn't able to swallow an entire 12 inch cuda.. she killed most of them with in a few days.. ate only a part of them. She was a really ill tempered girl! I will try and post some scanned pics from back then... Might have a pic of her when she was around 24-25 inches. I have never tried mixing cudas with african pikes... Odoes never caught my fancy for some reason.

I'd love to see some of those pics!

Looking good DB! I love my Cf, hate to see it go though. They grow pretty quick.

They sure do. I already had to move my first pair (a red and a green) after an attack on the Cuda. Probably 6"+ already. Few weeks later had to move the biggest of the additional trio of CFs leaving just a pair of CFs to grow out with the trio of green eyed guys.......

Also had to remove the Aro as it became very protective of the floating pellets at feeding time hindering the Cuda's pellet training.

Don't think any wolves will work out long term in this tank - the Cuda just don't seem to grow, but do seem passive enough they should work long term with the Morays.

I'm getting worried myself on the growth rate of the cf and green. My Morays are long but easily a bite away from ICU lol

Greens are leaving this weekend with my 300 so I'll have the cf for a lil longer. Out of every wolf I've owned, the cf is my fav. I love how it looks for me, not even the Aimara did that for the time I had it and it was over 1 foot long lol

DB your stock loos awesome like usual. Can you post some pictures of the filtration setup on this tank? I love your post in the past about filters and I need some ideas.
Also I don't know if your eels do it but when I had mine, if they had a piece of cut fish/shrimp too big they would tie themselves into a knot and rip chunks off. Awesome to watch

Thanks for the kind words Charney!

My 2 drains "Y" together and empty into a single 7x16 100 micron sock that is housed in a 40 breeder. Heater, return pump, and the bag of scrubbies I used to start this tank are all in there. Return pump has an additional loop to feed a bio reactor I made from a 20 gallon tank. K3 as media and I used (2) 8" sintered glass diffusers in the bottom which had to be dialed back quite a bit cause they could easily launch all the media right out of that little tank. There's also a Fluval 405 canister that runs the 25 watt UV. This tank has pretty poor turnover compared to what I typically use for pumps as I don't usually bother running anything but Darts but since this is just a growout I opted to use a 2K gph pump rather then hacking up the overflows to accommodate higher flowrates as I figured all the food would just end up in the filter - NOT a good thing when trying to train fish on to pellets.

I'd post more pics but apparently I can't anymore cause my files are too large? Worked fine before the stupid site overhaul. Guess it's more important to link to stupid social media then to actually let people post decent pics. It's too bad I don't have 2 more hands, I'd give this upgrade 4 thumbs down.
