So I am building a 1000 gallon plywood pond. It will be filtered by a swirl filter, then by aquaponics. It's going to be 8 feet long, 4 feet long, and 4 feet high. What cichlids do you recommend?

First....Congrats on planning to build one....By when do you plan to get it completed...I wil be glued to this thread like a hawk on its progress.....
My automatic choice would be Amphilophus varieties , Jaguars and RTM's....(sorry my choice only)....but you have a ton of options....wondering how different responses you will start getting on this one !!!!

It's an indoor pond, can't put one in the ground as I live in maine. Maine also has some ridiculous fish laws.
I plan on buying the wood tomorrow, along with cinder blocks, and I'm thinking pond tarp would be a lot easier with a tank this big.
I'm still confused =S do you have any pictures or sketches of what you're going for? If not it's fine, I'm just curious.
