Help! Upsidown Gar..

My spotted Gar is suddenly laying upside down at the bottom of my tank... He's been like that for around 20 hours.. My Arowana and other fish are fine. Changed 50% of the water this morning.
 
how big is the gar?how big is the tank? and how big are the tankmates? some pictures would help.

the tank is L42" D35" W16"
Alligator gar is about 20"
Arowana 16"
And we have 2 small dragon Gobi's
The gar we've had for a year, Arowana about 6 months and the gobi 2 months
 
Yesterday he was fine, then suddenly in the afternoon we noticed he was just laying at the bottom upside down. The Arowana and and Gobi are fine. They've all been in the tank together for a while so I have no idea what's wrong with the gar..

Not enough room for alligator gar in the aquarium. If his length j is 20 " and width of the tank is 16" that's probably not correct. This could lead to anything in regards to the gar. What if something happened while gar tried to turn ?
 
You can not be serious?!
Are you really keeping a 20" long fish in a 16" wide tank? Any fish would not like those condition but especially an alligator Gar!
Looks dead to me pal,
