Worried About My Aro

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
if you have a 10 gallon you don't buy a fish that will out grow it an a matter of months.

Never said my arowana is staying in a 180 it's hole life so hold your horses there buddy bigger tank is on its way so you don't have to get your panties in a bunch. If push comes to shove and I don't get my big tank built in time I'm not going to keep him I will give him to a proper tank the same way I gave my last arowana away to a bigger tank. I'm sure threw his research he will come to the conclusion that he needs to upgrade or sell/trade the fish. Sorry to single you out but it is what it is you make it sound like of you don't have a monster tank in the 400 gallon range you can't enjoy having an arowana until it outgrows the system...

He didn't buy it though. at no point does it say it's in a 10 gallon. Besides a 10 gallon is 18" plus or minus half an inch. It says (2 feet) but we don't truly know what he is referring to(length, width, height)?

well if you look at his very fist post he says "I just bought a silver arowana (6 inch baby)" you are correct we do not now if he's referring to length width or height but he's obviously not very knowledgeable of the species if he's asking questions that could be found on google in a matter of minutes.

I agree with that... that should have been the first question that was asked and usually is my first question

No offense to him but his is a young guy wanting to learn. Maybe instead of flying off the handle we should help him out? You know if he wants to keep the fish suggest upgrades point him in the right direction

your right, you didn't say its staying in the 180 its whole life but in my opinion you don't get a fish you can't already adequately house for its entire life. Thats like buying an oscar for a 20 gallon knowing your going to bring it to petco to make it someone else's problem.

It's not a problem I know people that look for mature fish and don't want to raise them. I can and plan on it things happen sometimes and it doesn't work out. I have a plan in place and am planing to stick to it. You have your way I have mine. Don't like it just do it your way.
But back to the issue here.

Mohnish shende what size is your tank

having a plan in place helps but you shouldn't have to plan on giving the fish you agreed to take care of away because you don't have the room for it.
