Answer me plsss.how s my FH???

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
No 100% water change at any time! You need to change water 20-25% a week! full water change break the nitrogen cycle which u can aware by googling niteogen cycle! Never do full water change!! And mineral water in my opinion is to clear for the aquarium which sometime a stressfull to fish. U try to change mineral to tap water in few next water changes so that would have balance for 20% mineral ( means the RO water) and 80% tap water. but be careful do not do it over the night, do it gradually so u will not fluctuate the water pH.

100% water change kills the fish as it breaks the good becteria bed.

Also, the filter spongue and other media should be clean with aquarium water only, never clean media with tap water, I do the same and my aquarium balance is good..

Also, to make the tap water safe, u can use the water conditioner like seachem or any other which is good! Use the instruction how to use water conditioners.

ok no 100% change...ill never do it.but my tap water is too salty that makes the tank so dirty and awful to look..thats why im using RO water..ok ill consider ur ideas and ill apply it..can the ratio be 25%RO and 75%Tap water???

and yes..another main thing..before I used full tap water my fish was black in color..after using RO water it is changed to white in clr as u c in the pic..I think he is not stressed.but I don't know whether he is stressd or not....?
so sry for too many questions.

Anything suitable to FH, tank and u for RO water, or continue what your fish is adjusted! But My only thought was no 100% water change, just 20-25% water changes a week keeps the ammonia, nitrite level to 0 Ppm, and ur FH would be healthy.

if RO water is suitable then continue what u do! RO water has lower PH

Give him sometime and everything will work out. BTW, since how long you are keeping the fish in tank? And the different straits of the flowerhorn are there in market and they all are the hybrid fish.. So yours FH eyes base color is orange and nothing is wrong.. Some of the FH has white eyes and they are most probably kamfa strain.. Also, some white eyes found in ZZ too. So all depends on the fish straits and parents..

Fighting with mirror is his basic aggressive nature, and not all FH does that.. Time and age will put more aggressiveness to this magnificent species !

So, DO NOT worry and enjoy your FH.. IT's all about time and your care would surely turn your FH better than mine :-))

P.S. - It seems you are very new to this hobby and we do all appreciate you asking any questions, to me, no questions are silly.. So take the tour of this site and read more forums and threads to gain more and more knowledge.. So lets say you want to know about "temperature", Type "Flowerhorn Temperature" and >1000 threads you will find across the internet ..
