The difference being ,,,this is a fishkeeping site not a site about being offended by made up news..
Since when is 2 people losing jobs news...was there a newscrew outside your place of work last time somebody got fired.?......this "news" is nothing more than agenda driven weak entertainment for the simple-minded ....once again .. just my opinion... not personal. ..
So your point is what? This is a fishing keeping site with a lounge specifically designed for discussing non fish topics. Which this is.......................so, if you don't like it don't participate or start another thread about "People being offended by made up news". Easy enough.
No ..my point would be this was started as a thread about how the society is going to hell ...using an example that is completely irrelevant. ..to anybody that isn't trying to be offended by people that aren't like them..I personally do not understand same sex marriage. .nor "AGREE" with it ..or disagree as it doesn't affect me or anybody who isn't in that type of relationship. .and imo....once again jmo...it's silly to think it is a relevant issue....only news networks hell bent on ratings by any means ( once again pandering to people of a certain social direction) find this subject relevant ..and it is inflamatory to incite people to vote a certain way,,, homeless vetrans by the thousands might be newsworthy... paris shootings certainly are... unemployment being 5% is...not 2 guys & their adopted kid &their adventures in fighting against phobic people....well this has been a couple hours i won't ever get back...
I agree with your point of view on the news networks. but most of everything in this thread is related to how the world is failing. The fact that the news networks only care about ratings rather than informing the people on what's really going on is a issue, but there's "not much" we can do about it, there used to be dozens of different news channels and papers but they got gobbled up by big corporations. Now everything is owned by a few people and THIS is the issue because they can manipulate and decide what and what not to show. But for the most part I think everything in this thread is accurate to how the world is going down the drain.
anyone have an opinion on why the news never showed the massive amount of anons marching and protesting?
Part of my point might be ...the slaughter of native Americans in the 19th century isn't a sure sign of the world heading downhill? Or 300 yrs of America owning slaves?....or people protesting for civil rights firehosed in the 60's? Or lynchings?...but 2 *** guys are the sign of impending doom?...really? ...here is a little reality check for everybody. ..1940...Hitler. .the Holocaust. ..the world WAS GOING to hell...and those same guys who died to preseve your right to be myopic phobia ridden fools fixed his wagon pretty freakin good...so you think maybe this thread might be a little self indulgent viewed from the outside? 6 million people slaughtered Wasn't crappy? ..but this thread is relavent.?..just thinking out loud....

couldn't agree with you more, If you go back a few pages I said that "This world was going downhill long before I was born" and these are a few of the reasons that I had in mind when saying this.
