Have you ever ate a fish you had?

First thing you should ask yourself is why did the fish die ,
in my opinion it's not worth the risk .

While it may not sounds the most appetizing, but if thoroughly cooked, I don't believe there are any diseases/pathogens that can be transmitted to humans

There are substances used in aquariums that are not deemed safe for fish destined for human consumption - such as some of the various medications sold for tropical fish use.

Probably no worse than the pollutants(mercury, cadmium, etc) in the systems of food fish we eat regularly (tuna, swordfish, etc)

I mean, if it's a tasty fish and you killed it yourself, I don't see why not. I'm not sure I could eat any of my fish, though, and some are just too much work to cook.

Good point.

Personally I try and avoid those foods as well. Not saying that our world isn't full of potential carcinogenic food, but I would personally avoid aquarium raised fish for the same reason that I avoid pond raised or cultured fish. That, and I can afford to eat food that is not raised in a glass tank in my home. I don't barbecue our dead dogs, either.
