Have you ever ate a fish you had?

My mom jokes about cooking up the giant gourami I set up at her house. Just recently transferred it into a bigger tank and when netting it, it was a good ten pounds at least...sizable dish...but the thought never crossed my mind to eat the guy.

aquarium fish, uhh no,. had a trout pond and eat those, but aquarium fish, no.

Eatting fish is so wrong... Please honor your dead fish... Taxidermy and Mount above current tanks.

These are great! Honestly didn't think it would go this far. In all honesty though if he does end up cooking it. I'll be sure to try some after he does, and I'll let you guys know how rtc tastes lol.

On the giant gourami thread there's someone who claimed to have eaten his giant gourami. Couple of years ago I watched an episode of "Taboo" about a guy in the UK living off roadkill. Badger head soup was his favourite I seem to recall, so anything is possible I guess.
Ya I saw that. Floyd even cooked some roadkill meat as well :)

But this badger head soup is a new height :)

I used to threaten my Oscar every time he ate something that I wouldn't think he would be able to... And when I would vacuum out his tank and he'd dart over and bite my arm lol. I'd stand there and tell him " You're lucky I don't know how to filet fish, or your arse would be in a frying pan right now". He'd float back and just look at me like... "I'm sorry man!" haha. I miss bruiser :(

It's funny this thread is regarding an RTCs future size. A... let's just say acquaintance... had an RTC that was the most skiddish mother on the planet. The RTC lived in a glass 220 and had had a couple goes at the end glass panels eventually breaking it out...... After the second time this happened (I was present for the second break) I kid you not, the RTC went from the floor to the fryer in less than 5 minutes. Some Louisiana seasoning later it tasted OK.

OH.... and yes I would eat any of my fish that are large enough to consume.
