That's some dedication! Are there no larger towns nearer than Knoxville? I always thought Tennessee was more densely populated than a lot of the US states.

Well, people do keep fish, and there are some stores that sell fish, but only neons, guppies and stuff
The closest LFS is 30 minutes one way. a Petsmart and a Petco is 5 minutes.
Since I'm not buying rare fish I head over to one of the P's. I do hate it but I don't want to spend an hour driving for a $2 fish(goldfish or a barb).

Im 40 min to 1 hr each way from a decent lfs. I usually take my son with me and make a day out of it. Best thing near me is a petland that actually get some pretty cool fish but they are usually beat the crap out of and in poor condition
Hello; Knoxville is the large town nearby. I live where Tennessee, Kentucky and Virginia meet. The tri-state marker is about five miles away. There are a few decent shops in Knoxville. There is a decent shop in Kingsport TN that is about 75 miles away.
I am not sure about the human population density of the state compared to others. No state income tax attracts some. I moved back to the area with the plan to go back to the meteor crater I was born and raised in. (Middlesboro,KY). I found a place just inside TN with my three criteria. +one level living with only one step in and out. + access to a wide highway shoulder so I can ride my bicycle from the house. I can no longer run. + a place to put up a garage for my auto working tools and wished for projects. I am about five miles from Middlesboro thru what I think is the only federal operated tunnel thru the ridge in the Cumberland Gap National Park. Having moved back to my area of birth, I can say it seemed like a good idea at the time. In reality it is not so great.
