  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
You Guys are still not getting it. #1 I am not trying to sell this product. #2 Nobody is putting a gun to your head forcing you to use it. #3 It was only a recommendation to try this if you are having problems with cloudy water
Acurel F is the preferred choice of professionals for keeping aquarium water crystal clear. Fast-acting and easy to use, Acurel F clears cloudy, green or polluted water within hours of application. It combats the harmful effects of overfeeding and improves filter efficiency, resulting in a crystal clear environment for your fish. Safe and effective, it will not disturb the beneficial bacteria in biological filtration systems of healthy established aquariums. Acurel F is MADE IN THE U.S.A. with organic extracts from renewable resources. It is safe for all freshwater fish and plants, and environmentally friendly.

To clear cloudy water:
Acurel F is super concentrated. Just add Acurel F directly to the aquarium. Use 2-4 drops per gallon (5 liters) of water. For best results, leave your aeration and filtration systems ON. The water should clear within hours. Add more Acurel F if the clearing is incomplete.

To maintain a crystal clear aquarium:
On a daily basis, add 1-2 drops of Acurel F per gallon of water, directly to the aquarium. For best results, leave your aeration and filtration systems ON.

To improve aquarium filtration:
Acurel F dramatically improves the efficiency of most aquarium filters. Professionals know that the daily addition of 2 drops of Acurel F per gallon of water directly to the aquarium will assist filtration and maintain a crystal clear environment for your fish. For best results, leave your aeration and filtration systems ON.

Clouding caused by adding new gravel:
Just add Acurel F directly to the aquarium. Use 2-4 drops per gallon (5 liters) of water. For best results, leave your aeration and filtration systems ON.

When cleaning or maintaining old aquaria:
Use 2-4 drops per gallon (5 liters) of water. For best results, leave aeration and filtration systems ON.

If an excessive amount of Acurel F is used, the water may become brown for a few days.
This is NOT harmful and will disappear in a few days.

You sure are passionate about this product ill give you that. The best way to combat the effects of over feeding I would guess would be to stop over feeding.

TJ ...... trust me, we all get it. The vast majority of professionals are not using this product. The vast majority use nothing. Those in commercial aquaculture that do use products that assist in water clarity, use commercial probiotic substances, and mostly for other reasons beyond water clarity. They do not add a drop or two of AF in their water each day. :)

Sound like it might even fix my latest problem. I have added a calcium, mineral mix that clouded my water. In a effort to promote some rare purple, coraline looking algae.

After.
It's day 4 Purigen, and activated carbon, have not been much use so far.
The algae is growing well however.

Mark ...... just a FYI, that rare looking algae, appears to be a SW form of cyanobacteria. Not exactly something that you want to add to a tank. Hopefully it doesn't thrive in your freshwater system.

Buddy what arent we getting ? You started a thread which sparked a discussion. No one bashed you or the product. If you werent looking for replies why post in the first place ?

Also you said that it didnt need to be constantly added ? From what you posted it looks like you do.

You may achieve the same results with ridx or a similar product (rd suggested already) just an option

YES it does, but it's not slimy. It will only grow with low nitrates.
My African cichlids eat it about as fast as it grows.
All the bacteria growths I have seen are very very slippery.
I don't want to be foolish about it. Every thing I have read about cyno outbreaks. Don't pinpoint the stuff.
