600 gallon fiberglass tank with window

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Keeping the ehiem 2260 and fx5 on it ....fx6 will be moved to the 270 gallon once I set up my drip system and add my sump with laguna max flo 2400 pump ...

The sump will have plenty of bio media for when I add more fish down the line and I can increase the drip if necessary :)
im sure it willl. im actually considering it for the future. but im still thinking of building a tank myself lol. just cause i need to build a shed for my parents house anyways. I just got a brand new table saw so i am still thinking of building a large tank. >:) maybe i'll just buy a large tank and build one! but I see the tops are open? do you need it to be covered?

Use the saw to make a stand for it lol......and no you can leave it open or use pond netting ect....but mines in my basement so due to heat...humidity I have a make shift lid

So I installed my 600 gallon pentair. Only to find several deep scratches on the inside glass pane... I will be calling them to have then send me a new one

Which brings up the question, when they drop off the pentair, do they drop it off in ur driveway? Or do they make you take it off the truck?

Also thoughts on painting the outside of the fiberglass black if my stand is black.

The courier service that dropped mine off helped move it into the drive way with just me and him... The dolley wasn't big enough to move it it came on a 10x5x4 container. The tank only 300 lbs front glass side is twice as heavy as the rear. We took it out of the container and just walked it up the driveways.

I am going to use pond armor on the inside of the tank to change the color to black. It should also work on the outside.

The freight driver will help you unload it off the truck and they might help u carry it inside depending on how nice they are

I wanted to change it to black as well but I would be skeptical of the pond armour chipping over time which would make it look horrible

Scratches aren't terrible but unexceptable Imo for a brand new tank. I think it was installed from the factory that way due to it being on the inside glass.
