Right,the poor guy must have launched itself and knocked the lid up.Balas are hard to find at decent sizes and they grow painfully slow.

I just saw one huge one like yours for 20.00 at a lfs I was going to buy one but decided rather buy them small and watch them grow. Sorry for your loss thats a beast!

Really? Years back, I bought 5 @ around 3", and they doubled in size in about 1/2 a year
