Looks like an old conspecifc injury. Almost as a chunk is missing from a bite when young and it healed over. I'd forward that to ws. It should be a full refund on fish. No doubt.

Send that over to wetspot. It's a defect from birth or old injury. Looks like it concave know from the picture.

I remember when vancouver went to wetspot to check on the CB koliba, he mentioned a black volta that has something in the right eye.
