I think the volta should get named 'Divot' due to its little missing chunk. But if it fills in with time you would have to rename it...
I honestly don't know why you would ask for another fish. As a vendor the fish is alive, and fine. I also couldn't ask for another as a buyer. The fish probably hurt it in the wild and there's nothing the vendor can do about it, but sell it.
what r u doing still awake, dude?Would you still feel this way if your recieved a polys with 1 eye ?

Yeah I would still not ask for another fish. If the seller were to have to give another fish out for every fish that has a problem such as yours (you even mentioned it's so subtle someone not familiar with them wouldn't notice) they'd lose a lot of money. Vendors get in fish like this all the time and they don't get to ask the importers/exporters for another one just because this one isn't a grade A specimen, and if they have to hand out one more fish for every non perfect fish they have, they'd lose a good bit of money. As long as the fish swims, eats, and settles in perfectly fine then I don't see a need to ask them for a whole other fish. That's just my opinion though, and what I would've done, but obviously this is your fish and money so it's your call on what you think is right in this situation.Would you still feel this way if your recieved a polys with 1 eye ?
nah, I disappeared into the woods to go fishing LOL Been a really rough July, but we stuck with it and pulled fish when no one else was, even to the point I was the only one in my group catching them in the end. Things should look better in the next 2 weeks, trophy season for Smallmouths starts, then runs into November and Muskellunge and Pike start getting active around that time so I have high hopes. July just sucks.....every year it's the same 90F+ days, hot nights, water too warm, lazy fish etc etcLol i know waaay past my bed time..how ya been ? Havemt seen ya on in a while you get banned again lmao
i'll be honest, Doc.....I think it's kinda messed up they didn't tell him ahead of time it was scarred-up. If they didn't know I guess it's No-fault, but I would at least call or e-mail them and explain the situation and let THEM volunteer a solution and see how they handle it, as professionalsYeah I would still not ask for another fish. But they most likely didn't notice it was scarred-up because it was so minor that it could easily be passed over. So if it's that easy to miss it I don't think that it warrants getting another fish or even a discount. If the fish had some sort of other defect like a missing eye, fin, tail, etc.., that's something easily noticeable even to a non-hobyist, and I think with things like that notifying the customer would be an ideal scenario, and maybe even a small discount. IMO the only time another fish should be awarded is if the existing fish arrives DOA. I'll be honest I can understand a small discount here just because they're good people (definitely don't think it's necessary thought), but anything more than 10-15% off is way too much.nah, I disappeared into the woods to go fishing LOL Been a really rough July, but we stuck with it and pulled fish when no one else was, even to the point I was the only one in my group catching them in the end. yea but you know how the economy is, people will always shop where they get good customer service. It's a natural part of franchise-wars..........nothing will change thatBut they most likely didn't notice it was scarred-up because it was so minor that it could easily be passed over. My main issue is asking for a whole other fish. I can't remember who did it, but someone ordered a moke from wetspot and it came in with no dorsal finlets, and wetspot sent a whole other fish because they were told it was deformed. I personally not only wouldn't have asked for another fish, but would've paid more for a unique fish like that. I think wetspot is a really good store and has some really nice people, but I think they're too generous sometimes and they're unintentionally starting to set a standard that will hurt quite a few fish businesses down the road.
Anyway........ Jaws you have some nice looking new additions. Palmas Palmas are one of my favourite upper jaws because of their camo looking patterns and yours just from the pics of it in qt look like they'll shape up to be beautiful, and the BV given some time seems like it'll be a really a really good addition to your collection. You're starting to build up quite the stocklist hahahaha
Yeah of course that's how it should be done. I just think that Wetspot is sometimes too generous and that, that generosity will come back to haunt them when everyone wants another fish because theirs arrived with a simple scratch on it.yea but you know how the economy is, people will always shop where they get good customer service.
