I'm thinking its a deformity don't see a nostril either
battle scars

It's hard to see in pics. But is there an indent where the nostril is? Either way, it's missing a valuable nostril. :-)

I honestly don't know why you would ask for another fish. As a vendor the fish is alive, and fine. I also couldn't ask for another as a buyer. The fish probably hurt it in the wild and there's nothing the vendor can do about it, but sell it.

I'll respond to this because i stated full credit or new fish statement. Don't think jaws did. It's All me. I thouht it was a private message to jaws. Didnt realize it was to this public thread until afterwards. Was trying to ease the bad luck on shipments and ordeal, etc... vendor should specify if they are aware. I've seen ws pull fish. They do a great job. This one was overlooked I'm sure because of their volume. There should be a scratch and dent discount offered as a resolution or an offering for a new fish, discount or not. This stuff can happen.

My bad jaws. The private message format looks just like the public forum. Myself and pollyaddict86 were Flippin back and forth on pm as well while we were corresponding at the same time.

Just one question, did wetspot notified jaws about the bv condition, cause when i bought one of my bv to them one of them had a split tail and they called me personally before sending the bv to me if i still want the fish, i told them to send me a pic on my email and they did, so i told them its no big deal cause it will heal up in no time, wetspot has a really good customer service if anything wrong with the purchase they will tell you.

Not sure im interested in another fish but i have to disagree with you on this. Customer purchases a fish expecting a whole healthy specimen a reputable vendor such as rapps, wetspot, and many others would never allow a damaged fish to leave its facility. WS actually has a quality control process in place for this. In this situation im sure it went un noticed because its actually subtle and someone who doesnt keep polys or knowledgeable with them could easily think this is what the fish is supposed to look like. Fin rot or something that can easily be cure it one thing but something thats permanent is another

Vancouver_98683 Vancouver_98683 no need to apologize i think your 100% correct.

No they didnt notify me but this could have been easily missed by someone not familiar with polys. It looks worse on the pics that it actually is. Wetspot is great with stuff like this. I order a moke from them that had no finlets and they offered to replace it with another fish of my choice
