Hello; The grandson has a german shepard who likes to carry the food and water containers around (do not understand why). Anyway last fall we discovered rat holes at the house and saw a big one running from where the dog food is into one of the holes. The grandson got to just pouring out some dry dog food onto the ground and the dog would not eat it all. The leftovers became a rat attractant and they moved in.
I have suggested that he get canned dog food that the dog will eat right away, but the suggestion has been ignored.
So when the stray cat showed up I decided to encourage it to hang around.

Wow,when I think of rats,big mean nasty sewer rats come to mind and here pops is talking about his cat bringing home a six incher.....sounds more like a fat mouse lol.
