Should I build the fish shed?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Also, this thread is off topic. What it was about was is it worth it to build a shed, or should I just set up the 2 40s in the house?

LOL after 5 pages long and you still asking worth to built a shed or 2 more tanks in your house....
Well, it's your decision period. IF YOU CAN KEEP UP WITH MORE WORKS, REQUIRED EXTRA MAINTENANCE TIME THEN DO IT...I have to put it in caps so you can't say you miss that important part.

IF I BUILD THE SHED, I WILL HAVE A DRIP SYSTEM AND I KNOW THAT DOSEN'T MEAN I WILL HAVE NO MAINTENANCE. I need to get a bigger tank for my haps. Probably a 125. If I don't build the shed, the 125 will have to be in the house. I can keep up with the extra maintenance. I am just a bit lazy.

You "put down" fish that were only suffering because the water conditions were bad from not being changed O.o???

No. The fish was either egg bound or had an intestinal blockage.

That is because of the windows, not the tanks.

What a read. Sheesh!

Here's what you should do: build the shed, run a drip system, and have big tanks.

I have an 1100g in a detached garage. I love it! It is the perfect hiding place. I recommend a fridge for frosty beverages and fish food for your shed. You will be happy.

Now...do your water changes and get to work on planning out the shed.

You could make the shed your man cave too!set up a gaming system where water can't get it,put weapons and animal skulls on the wall, add some plants and a hammock or couch/chair

Hello; Just read thru this thread. I had hoped to glean some entertainment and stay out of the discussion, But..... A question comes to mind. How much throw away(spare) money do you have set aside for this shed? Lots of materials needed plus operating costs. May be dry in Utah, but does it get very cold during the winter?

For some reason I am thinking you told us you are still in high school. Maybe from the karma/ Walmart betta thread? Will your parents back you up?

May I make a suggestion? Build the shed and get it fitted with power, water and the drip system all up and running first before getting more tanks and more fish. That way if you flake out it will only be materials left out in the cold and not more fish.

Is the pond previously discussed in a different thread squared away for the fast approaching winter?
