Hi Guys,

Am not new to cichlids but I was out from the hobby for some time .Now am planning to set an 3.5x1.5x1.5 foot aquarium which would nearly be 60 US gallons(not sure) .What would be the right choice of cichlids to have ? My choice was Jaguar and green terrors .I knew both wont stay together so a jaguar pair /green terror pair . Can you guys help over here to find the right choice .It can be any south/central american cichlids.

Thanks

How long do you plan on keeping these fish? A few months?

Nope.. not anything like that ..I am just passionate on cichlids i already own two aquariums with flowerhorns and red devils.. I just wanna keep Jaguars/green terror but am not stick only to those two fishes any south/central american cichlids.

That tank is too small for either of those fish when considering keeping them long term.

Because of the tanks dimensions, cichlids that stay around the 6" range are more suitable.

Tank size is limiting on those species, not raining on your parade. Why not look for other species that get to around the 6 inch mark, even species like salvini; or firemouths?
Ya mate. I could understand .I thought a pair could fit in it.

That's 60 gallons.

What about cryptoheros nanoluteus? Or cryptoheros cutteri? Not sure what you have available to you.

Anything around the size of a convict or firouth (or smaller) would do well in that tank.
