They are mellow cichlids with beautiful colors and great personalities! Impossible to get pics of tho

You mean green terrors that's sounds weirdi dont see why you cant keep a riv in there for about 2 years tank can be upgraded after right
i got 5 babies in 60liter yes 60liter and they are doing better in there then they were in the 300liter i got 400 comming tomorrow though :$ there about 3 weeks old i think

Another great choice would be a pair of keyhole cichlids don't see them much on this site and I have been considering some myself as well

Personally, I think you could keep a solo GT in a 60 gallon for life, with a few tetras for company. Too small for a pair but a specimen should be okay. I have only heard, or seen pictures of, of a handful that ever got to or above the 12" mark. With that said, I would personally go for a slightly smaller fish like Nicaraguense or Sajica.
