What else to get for my 180 gallon

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Jokes on you, one shouldn't even make assumptions based on the limited information provided.

Yeah I've been asked-several times how many Oscars can fit in a 10 gallon full term. Really not funny I assure you. They grow to the size of the tank right? Flowerhorn are community fish bro any expert will tell you that.

I think you need to ask the mod to make a sticky with all that knowledge you have gained from working at a pet store

If you're on MFK offering up a stupid stock list without mentioning your tank size expect some inquiry. Passive aggressiveness is for goldfish keepers. I unfortunately DO know where that defensive sarcasm of yours is coming from--How bout that tank size?

I told you I'm running a top fin 10 gallon tank that I got on sale from black Friday. One of your colleagues gave me an awesome deal. She also told me that my oscar would be happy living there. Then she also convinced me to pick top fin filter rated for a 10 gallon tank.

I used to adopt the fish they'd make me cull. I usually had them looking gorgeous in a few months but there's not much demand where I'm at so I'd get stuck with them longer than I planned. Juvenile cichlids really don't show the full aggression they have reaching maturity. In a smaller tank I suppose you can cram them in if you have to. Until they reach a certain size of course. Fish will start getting injured that really don't have to. Once a fish is all beat up and gross looking usually only idiots like me are interested in them. I had some back up tanks I've had to use a few times but most people don't have that option and fish end up dying that didn't have to.

Think there's alot of difference in salvini personality, my old 6/7 inch male was a aggressive pita in my 180 gal

Yes, as with most cichlids. Any cichlid can turn aggressive. Right now my more aggressive cichlids are the ones that are supposed to be the least aggressive. Surprisingly my f1 h. Deppii haven't been aggressive either. But a tank raised one I had in the past was crazy aggressive.
