I wouldn't say anything is in a "bad way". People are upset about not being able to openly worship their Christian deity but when satanic groups or other obscure or unfavorable religious groups try to openly practice or express their beliefs they're chastised for it. How about we just not let anyone openly worship anything. I have no problem with that. For some reason tradition here also creates this annoying feeling of entitlement.Omg... People need to unknot their knickers so they can get their heads out of their athes.
Wow... America's in a pretty bad way right now aye? Sadly, I don't think Australia is to far behind yas...
Do you think they could get away with putting "in a higher power we trust" on the buildings? I'm joking of course but still...
As I said above, maybe people need to unknot their knickers and get over themselves. Idk, I'm not nearly wise enough to take all this on and fully comprehend it..
Agreed that it shouldn't but those religious beliefs that the founding was based on should not have to take a back seat to other alternative beliefs.Try openly following and imposing such beliefs as satanism and others in a less tolerant country like one of the middle eastern devoutly islamic lands and see where that gets you.Just because the country was "found" (or whatever the word is) on a particular set of religious beliefs doesn't mean it should or has to stay that way. Or that any deviation from that means that something is wrong.
Well we aren't in another country or talking about another country. But you're right. It shouldn't have to take the back seat. But neither should the others. Either everyone plays nice or no plays at all. It's not fun but it's fair. It's also simple.Agreed that it shouldn't but those religious beliefs that the founding was based on should not have to take a back seat to other alternative beliefs.Try openly following and imposing such beliefs as satanism and others in a less tolerant country like one of the middle eastern devoutly islamic lands and see where that gets you.
I don't see how that is fair but, okay.Well we aren't in another country or talking about another country. But you're right. It shouldn't have to take the back seat. But neither should the others. Either everyone plays nice or no plays at all. It's not fun but it's fair. It's also simple.
It just so gosh dang hard to let and let live...
In response to "not let people openly worship anything", I was going to be all like 'or people could just let people believe what they want and everyone can get over themselves.' But then I realized that's been tried and failed because people seem incapable of saying "okay, I like red and he likes blue, meh" instead they be all like "I like red so you have to as well!" That's when shniz seems to goes pear shaped...I wouldn't say anything is in a "bad way". People are just not open to change. Just because the country was "found" (or whatever the word is) on a particular set of religious beliefs doesn't mean it should or has to stay that way. Or that any deviation from that means that something is wrong. Change is a not only a part of personal life but it is also inevitable within cultures.
Bye.

I think the problem with satanic worship arose when they started involving blood and animals with their head's cut off. I'm sure if Christians did that then they would be in much trouble as well.People are upset about not being able to openly worship their Christian deity but when satanic groups or other obscure or unfavorable religious groups try to openly practice
