yeah unfortunately. I thought the second one was a bump or something....but looks to be like the same thing. I took a picture of it in post $57.
However, I did a 60% WC yesterday and dabbed him with the betadine twice. and he's a least been acting normal and swimming about since then.... and chilling in his usual corner. He likes to watch us in the kitchen.
thank you. me too. I just want him to feel better. Did another 50% WC today, fed him his first piece of shrimp, and swabbed him with the betadine again tonight. I really hope I am diluting it enough, I don't want to hurt him.Sorry to hear the, hope it heals up already
Iwas reading over the other thread in the health section. Its weird that he burnt himself twice. In your gut do you feel they are burns ? The newest occured while he was in qt right ?

Once u put the ornate back in the tank. The Iodine should be washed out. Supposed to kill bugs on contact.

Doubt it's heater burn. Maybe still related to the convicts death. Maybe skin fluke? Was treated with prazi and it should cover it.

Wss just googling ulcers on fish and came up with some pics that resemble what the ornate is dealing with. I wish i knew more about fish diseases
Some of the info stated that bacteria normally present in the aquarium can infect a fish that is stressed due to a few different things. Poor water quality was one of them, i know you were dealing with some ammonia issues so maybe look into this

ammonia was only a problem with my QT tank. Main tank level was 0 for ammonia and nitrites most of the time. Although looking at the tank right now, the water still looks a little dark, maybe tannins from the driftwood? Although, definitely a possibilty for the water quality being off. Before he was sick I was only doing WC every other week.....Recently, I did remove all of the old substrate and decorations. Could it possibly be from the filter? The only other thing I can think of was that I did use a garden hose for water changes.
newest one occurred in main tank. Honestly, I have no idea. Starting to think there's something wrong with the water.....My beta fish also developed fin rot. Despite me doing regular water changes. I mean I have kept fish alive for 3 years with no health problems(had to rehome them when I moved), but that was in a different area. So i have no idea what I'm doing wrong. My only fish that has been doing well is my clownfish which gets pure RODI water.
