IMG_1276.JPG I was going to go with three 1.5" drains do I could direct and control three sumps, but to save space I decided to go with one 2" and direct it from there. Schedule 80! My last bulkhead cracked and it was only 8" under the water.

In the background: double fiberglassed seams waiting the be sanded and top coat.

Hard to believe I have only been in the hobby for two years now. I did have aquariums as a kid a couple of decades ago.

IMG_1281.JPG I used the left over epoxy from each mixing to prime the plywood that I will use to build the overflow and intake boxes. The epoxy was too thick to work with the fiberglass, but I found that it still spreads well with the bondo spreader. In fact it spread so WELL that I will use it instead of a roller on my next project. Not sure what my next project will be, but there is always a next project.

This whole board primed, front and back with what normally would have been waisted epoxy. So always have something you want coated near by!

IMG_1282.JPG Had to post this, beautiful!

I flipped the board over even though it was wet. Now both sides have 2 coats!

Final coat! Im no Jonny Bench. Dating myself here. There are a few runs, dripps, and errors...

Will need a few touch ups, an screew hole inspection.

Off to go skiing while this cures

IMG_1347.JPG Came in the mail today! Uses blue tooth, so I can control colors from my phone.

The rest of this project will be a total experiment of Ideas That I have been thinking about for the last 10 months. I will probably make a lot of mistakes, and have plenty of re-dos, or wish I would haves. Looking forward to the next few weeks! Things may get a little weird, but I have got it all a try.

Yea, those lights are awesome. I have a set but I don't use them over my tank.
These are going to be extra. Water proof they say. I am going to find out just how water proof. Could be the dumest or coolest idea ever.
