Nikon d3400 is a good camera to start with dslr's.

Start with ?!? At that price it'll be with me untill they pry it out of my cold dead hands. Hhaha

I have a Nikon. I know nothing about the newer models though, sorry. The best lens for low light is a prime lens, but there are some decent zoom lenses out there that go lower. I need a prime that is like 1.8 or 1.4 but I have other things on my money priority list right now.

One piece of advice would be to get a middle of the road vs. higher end camera body and take the money saved and put it toward the nicer lens. Unless you're going to go pro, you don't need the top of the line camera body for everyday (really beautiful) shots.

So.i take it the lens' that come with the camera i posted arent low light ?
It doesn't say what the lenses that are in the kit are... it is doubtful they are but it doesn't mean they will totally suck either. This can almost be it's own post! And I'm sure there are people far more into it than I am.

As far as translating my post - lets see... prime lens means non-zoom. You have to move to change what's in the frame. Because of this they can be crisper and you can get them with an aperture of 1.4 or 1.8, which are decent for low light conditions - zoom lenses that go that low are really expensive. At least they were, doubtful that's changed.

You'll see a lens described like this:
NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G
Nikkor is the brand, 18-55 mm is the zoom amount (would be a single number if a "prime" lens) and the f/3.5-5.5 is the aperture range - this is the part where you would want that bottom number to be lower to be better in lower light. Generally speaking.

I think the rest is english. I recommend a well rated middle camera body with extra $ spent on a nicer lens, for the everday user who just wants nice pics. :)

Mine pile and there are a lot of hidey holes. I think it's a social thing maybe on top of a security thing...?

I did not see Dels that small! Where the heck was it I wonder? Must have been hiding. :)

All of my friends (and my husband) think my polys are awesome looking - like dinosaur dragon fish. Except one who is snake phobic and hates the ropes. LOL. "But they're the cutest! They smile!" He doesn't seem to care.

MORE PICS STAT!!!

I am snake phobic too. I think its how they swim. Watching an eel free swim in open water is terrifying. But polys kinda remind me of dragons or poliwogs with how they swim. It's cute and cool at the same time.

with the cameras, I think I had a nikon 125 or something like that. It had a zoom lens and was digital, but that's all I know. P.S. it was called a nikon 7 or something. idk anything about cameras either. lol.

It's crazy that we can take and send pics/videos through phones now.

The rope fish are the most graceful, soothing swimmers in my tank by far. (When they're not spazzing out, which they also like to do on occasion. LOL)

Udon and Soba kind of waddle swim. :)
