It doesn't say what the lenses that are in the kit are... it is doubtful they are but it doesn't mean they will totally suck either. This can almost be it's own post! And I'm sure there are people far more into it than I am.

As far as translating my post - lets see... prime lens means non-zoom. You have to move to change what's in the frame. Because of this they can be crisper and you can get them with an aperture of 1.4 or 1.8, which are decent for low light conditions - zoom lenses that go that low are really expensive. At least they were, doubtful that's changed.

You'll see a lens described like this:
NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G
Nikkor is the brand, 18-55 mm is the zoom amount (would be a single number if a "prime" lens) and the f/3.5-5.5 is the aperture range - this is the part where you would want that bottom number to be lower to be better in lower light. Generally speaking.

I think the rest is english. I recommend a well rated middle camera body with extra $ spent on a nicer lens, for the everday user who just wants nice pics. :)

What is 2x telephoto lens ?

Awesome polys!

Can't wait to get mine :D

My tank has glass bracing all around with a tall plastic lid, would I need to worry about a poly making a jump for it?

My first dslr was a cannon rebel and I loved it. I still use it. I have an inexpensive lens for it that works really well and it was only $100. I'll link the camera and lens.

546 reviews and it has all 5 stars. It's a AWESOME lens for the money. AND it has a 1.8 aperture. You can get those nice blurs in the background with this lens. It also helps with low light situations. I even used this lens in weddings I've done. Here is an example of the blur. I took these when I first started out with my cannon rebel and this lens.

Here is my camera. I have the very first T series. This is a T5, way better than what I have. There are other rebels. This is the only website I buy my gear from. My Cannon Rebel is around 6 or 7 years old? I can't remember. I'm sure they've came a long way now.

Ok when im ready you will definitely be getting some pms from me lol
My wife had a nikon p520 and unless i use the flash all the pics of the fish come blurry with the slightest movement no matter how much i play with the aperture settings.

It's the mindset that everyone wants to see enjoyment out of this hobby from and for everyone. Don't want this hobby or forum done with. But only can be done with a bichir in ur tank lol.
