It doesn't say what the lenses that are in the kit are... it is doubtful they are but it doesn't mean they will totally suck either. This can almost be it's own post! And I'm sure there are people far more into it than I am.
As far as translating my post - lets see... prime lens means non-zoom. You have to move to change what's in the frame. Because of this they can be crisper and you can get them with an aperture of 1.4 or 1.8, which are decent for low light conditions - zoom lenses that go that low are really expensive. At least they were, doubtful that's changed.
You'll see a lens described like this:
NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G
Nikkor is the brand, 18-55 mm is the zoom amount (would be a single number if a "prime" lens) and the f/3.5-5.5 is the aperture range - this is the part where you would want that bottom number to be lower to be better in lower light. Generally speaking.
I think the rest is english. I recommend a well rated middle camera body with extra $ spent on a nicer lens, for the everday user who just wants nice pics.![]()
