I haven't decided yet however these 2 just popped up at my LFS and I wanted to get your guys opinions

polypterus ansorgii
polypterus lapradei 'guinea'
What?! if those are legit labels then you have a great lfs. I say get both! the guinea lap are probably my favorite poly, and ansorgii is up there too. And as far as I know they're almost unheard of in lfs. Why don't you post a couple pics so the poly taxonomy experts on here can verify the labels

The Fish Gallery in Dallas TX I called them and this is their stats oh they also had another one I wasn't origonally considering

Polypterus palmas palmas I think he said it was 8" or 10" and $59
polypterus ansorgii this one was 6"-7" and $139
polypterus lapradei 'guinea' this one was 10" and $139

the good thing is I get a 15% discount on all livestock there because I'm a member of dfwfishbox.com

The big problem with the 2 larger ones is I would have to get a tank divider to seperate them from my smaller albino sengalus and fire eel until they get bigger

This LFS is by far the best one in the dallas fort worth area and they usually have a great selection that you won't find anywhere else. They always have several types of bichirs and they were the 1st in the area to have L number plecos

Cool polys and looks legit! LFS appears to be an authorized dealer. I'm sure they can get in more wild caught if they wanted to (Toyin). :-)
