Thank you! And yes, same fish just about 3 weeks apart. Bottom pic is the first day I brought him home. Skinny and skittish. Now he's eating good on hikari bio gold and the only way I can get a good pic of him is if he's trying to attack my hand through the glass lol. Only about 4"

I use gold too. I've always had great success with hikari products. My larger cichlids love it. A varied diet is great for growing your fish out. But he eats marineland cichlid pellets, shrimp pellets, and some color bits too (loves these little things). But he gets the biogold for 3/4 of his feedings.

They're awesome. It's hard to beat the colors and the personality on these guys. Very personable fish when they aren't trying to kill you =]
