i started a 30 gallon with the fish i have now about 6 months ago, and then transfered all that water into a 75 that i purchased about 3 months ago. so the 75 has been running for 3 months.
the 75 was used from a friend, not new.

2 marineland emperor 400s. as for bio media, i put some small ceramic rings and other crumbled bio rocks inside the cartridges that come with the emperor. only one of my filters contains these rocks
When transferring a stock of fish to a new tank, it is important to move as much of the stuff(bio media; gravel; décor) from the original tank over to the new tank as well...because all these stuff contains beneficial bacteria. The exception is water. Dump the old water and fill tank with all new water(as long as the parameters/chemistry are not too far off). If you didn't transfer enough bb colonies over, your new tank will have an inadequate bb population which could result in a mini cycle......an indicator would be haziness2 marineland emperor 400s. as for bio media, i put some small ceramic rings and other crumbled bio rocks inside the cartridges that come with the emperor. only one of my filters contains these rocks

that could be exactly what im going through right now, because i only transfered some small decor from my old tank to new tank. i put all new gravel in. whats the best way to speed up the process of this possible mini cycle?
The first thing I recommend Is you get a water test kit.You need to verify if your tank is actually cycled or not.
Makes sense, what are ideal parameter levels to look for for my cichlids
