75 gallon update: A friendly vendor on this forum gave me a little help on my cycle problem. He told me to siphon out water from my 125 and dump it in my 75. Along with water, I also took a large styrofoam cup full of sand. Just to be sure this was kick started I opened up my other canister on the 125 and took some of it's media as well.
Since then, yesterday morning, I have 0 ammonia, 0.5 ppm Nitrites, and I didn't check the nitrates because I put old 125 gallon water in there so that will skew my results. I'd be willing to be I'll be cycled by Monday monring. Mr. Jeff got all set up![]()
There is very little bb if any at all in the water column. Transferring it to the 75 wont due much besides skew any test results. Can you remove some of the seeded media from the filters on the older tank and put some in the filters on your 75 ? That would jump start your cycle. Moving water is just...well moving dirty water lol
