  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
The ultima to return manifolds are finished. This is the shortest and closest of the two.

This is the second ultima to return manifold. This one is harder because I forgot my chosen path when mounting the pumps. I intended to go behind them and hide the pipe. Oh well.

We're going over the interior ultima and hugging the rear interior of the stand instead. From the side it still appears as one pipe and level with the same for the other ultima.

Instead I'm diverting this line under the stand in the far back so it is not visible from the front of the tank. Each end has a union so I can hook up a pipe length and only have one measurement (length) to hit.

The far end is much easier. The backwash wall exit is in the distance behind.

I can smell the fumes from Cali with all that gluing :)
You may need a pipe strap on that long run to take the weight off the bulkhead fittings.

I think the people down the street still have a buzz!

Couldn't agree more on the weight. I have the grey nylon strap I used on the back of the tank and plan to drill the frame rail or wood.

Some full tank shots at current progress. This is all that is visible of the closed loop plumbing as a complete system.

Four vertical pipes was the goal.

Items remaining until fill:
-Make long pipe for last return/support it
-Plumb open channel overflows/pump

Tighten, check and fill. There is a ton left to do but it's nice to stand in front of a mostly complete tank.

The last pipe is complete and supported. You guys know what that means...

Nice fit. All around I am happy down to the last pipe.

To make the straps even I cut them at the same hole in the strap, pre-thread a screw in and the mounted horizontally in between the two plywood sheets. Same height and tension on each now.
