Fill up the fry tank with water from the 220 and connect the hob filter let it run for a bout a day check your parameters n what not tomro and see how it is
You can't put your friends cartridges bc it won't fit I. Your filter and plus if it's carbon it won't help much I think you need media like sponge and ceramic rings that have already been running on a previous tank

What is filtering your 220? If it's a Cannister maybe take out a sponge and or bio media and add it inside of the hob instead of the cartridges
Should i wait a day until filling up the 20 cuz i just did a water chance that was desperately needed I've been afraid to suck up babies but realized that they can't get sucked up they just fight the suction
