As I understand it it is determined by their computer system somehow.I dint understand certain aspects of this whole story. Like who decides that passenger A loses his seat after they already biarded the plane and have taken said seat. Wouldnt it just be easier to lay the person over who would be taking said seat from passenger A since they havent boarded the plane yet ?

hello; No I do not think this is how it happens. There was a story last night about a group who wound up with something like $11,000 worth of compensation for volunteering to be bumped for two or three days.So hypothetically speaking i could board a plan with my family take our seats then be told i need to get out of my seat because the flight was over booked while while my wife and kids remain ?
