So then all is normal with me not seeong results ?It wasn't like 3 weeks in that some changes were noted.
By the way I did send an email to seachem and keeping flow below 30gph and optimal dentrification so will see.
The water flows into the filter at a flow rate below 50gph, ideally 30-40gph. It hits the foam first which removes anything in the water that wasn't already filtered out. The foam is needed as the pumice the bacteria grows on can clog quite easily. After passing through the foam, the water goes through the pumice, where the anaerobic bacteria converts the nitrate to nitrogen gas. Once the water returns the aquarium, the nitrogen gasses put, leaving the water nitrate free.How long did it take you to notice reduction ? I ran mine for a week but was over 50gph. Lowered it on friday. Not seeing any results. I know it takes a while for the bb to colonize but thought the suspected doping by seachem would have shown something...thoughts ?
