What Type of Arowana Should I Buy?

Anything not aggressive that won't fit in its mouth. You should look at some Youtube videos of African Butterfly Fish before you buy one though. I did and chose not to buy one. They do not move around very much.

Welcome aboard ☺ you could easily have a group of 3 or more in the 90 they get into territorial spats but just nudging each other lol. You could add mid water and bottom dwellers since ABF are surface dwellers.

Basically anything that isn't aggressive and won't fit in its mouth. There are quite a few schooling fish you can put in with African butterflies.

I think I'm going to put 2 Senegal Bichirs. How about plecos or bull shark? Anything that won't harm the African butterfly fish is fine with me.

Plecos are great tankmates for almost everything. Just make sure you don't buy that grows to 3" or one that grows to 24".
