It's not about the tank size that limits the fish's size. It'll be it's genetics, the food you give it,the water quality. 27"-28" Congicus was grown out in a 6'x2'. Seen some monster lungfish grown out in a smaller sized tank. Arapaimas as well.
My female senegals didn't necessarily get longer, but they were far more solidly built than the males. More robust.

I personally thought the 21" sp. Dabola was off the chart. Color was insane! Hope to find another one like it one day.
