What happened to that beast of a congi?

Last summer one day he simply passed. Fine the night before, the next morning he was belly up. I never did figure out a cause

My Nigerian lap I got with my Weeksii back in 2009 is close, bloody thing just won't cooperate to get measured. ( I keep a tape measure stretched along the front of the tank) I will try to get a measure to see if he joins the club

Sorry to hear.. weird circumstances, would have been more understandable with a CB but wild caught that's strange man.

Actually same thing happened to a few of my 20"+ WC Bichirs(including Godzilla). But it didn't happen at the same time. It was very random and unexpected. Fish showed no signs.
