That's what I'm worried about. There is a 100 gallon acrylic sump on Craigslist near me with 4" filter sock fittings for sale that was used for saltwater it looks like. But it's $350. Debating if that would be better. Think that is only 20" tall so that would give me about 12".I will tell you from personal experience. Give yourself more then 6 inches of room it is not enough

Total stand height is 33". Subtract two inches for the plywood and metal frame and that's what I have left
