She is a wonderful fish. I got her at about 1.5 inches and grew her up a bit. I just moved her into a 55gal last week

The move explane the stress look, keep an eye on her. she eating good should be fine. but worth watching.

I would be looking to upgrade to a 75g or a 90.
I have never been a fan of the 55g tanks for the medium size SA cichlids.

craigs list place a great place to find them. just watch it and you can pic one up for 50, 60 bucks.

I wish I could go bigger. But for now I am maxed out. Apartment living creates some room restraints. I got the 55 I am currently using for a great deal

75 almost the same foot print, its just a little wider, and makes a big dif for the fish, 18" instead of 12"

4ftx18" instead of 4ftx12"

That's the problem. I don't have room to go wider without blocking a doorway. Lol did I mention its a studio apartment.

humm ruff call there. I do not want to come off as self righteous or rigid, but you may want to look into smaller fish, lotsa a fish that are interactive cool looking and more suited to a 55g.

if you can manage 2, 90% water changes a week doeble but not ideal.

sorry not meaning to offend, just trying to give good advice.
