Yep defo gona try him out with other fish! Iv always wanted a tropical predator pond I'm in the position to be able to give it a go now..Iv got dorado,vampire tetras that I'm growing out for that event. Thinking about Atfs maybe some cichla? MUST get a couple of jelly cats. I got a feller on the hunt for them as we speak..C fowleri. Really cool fish.

sounds like feeding time will be hectic! I think with enough space the jack wouldn't be a problem. When you see that monster jack on YouTube though they have some power.
For sure. And dentistry to match. Have no doubts I will have a landing net ready if it gets heavy.. but in all honesty I think it will work out. Time will tell. I'll make sure I camera ready for all to see.
Yes he's doing well. I was on filter cleaning duty yesterday! Took me hours. As usual. 11 in the morning till 8 at night.(a lot of filters) It was a mission.
If you would like I'll take some video of him feeding on Friday when I'm back there. He puts away 10-12 mussels a feed now. He's not messing around any more. He's really gained confidence now. Can only be a good thing. Turning more into the jack I wanted him to become..

Wow, that's a monster appetite. He must be bulking up now he's getting that 12" mark. They remind me of p bass with how hard they hit there food. My guys doing alright, starting to bulk up more then grow now. His colours are different every hour.
His colour is the only thing that seems to be holding back. As much as he loves the mussels I feed him. I think I will cut them out and get him on prawns-shrimps. That should hopefully do the trick and help make him get his red colour to show up better.
He hits them mussels hard. I think there a really cool fish.

I’m completely snowed under at the min and for a while. Thing is me dorado are growing like mad. My biggest is 20” so what ever I’m going to do regarding me pond will defo be after Xmas for sure.
