Since shrimp won't work in my tank, would this stocking work?

12 CPDs (Or Rasboras/Tetras, species tbd)
12 Pygmy Cories
2 Stiphodon Annieae
1 Sicyopus Zosterophorus
1-2 Pea Puffers

That's pretty dense stocking really. Plus I wouldn't mix the gobies with puffers either

Puffers and Otos do well, so I don't see why gobies would be any different.

Pygmy cories only get to 0.5", and whatever I choose for the second school won't grow larger than 0.5" either.

Hmmmmmm... the puffers may or may not chase after the gobies...

Not saying the puffers will kill them, but they maybe tempted to inspect any fish thats chilling out near the bottom...

No shrimp or puffers... And it's the Goby's fault...

You listed a few fish that love pristine water. 16g isn't huge

I am currently running an overstocked 10 with 25 guppies and aquaponics, so I sort of belong on this thread. I intend to switch over to shelldwellers (Neolamprologus multifasciatus, n. Similis, etc. ) as soon as I can find some local, I am surprised that none has mentioned them yet. Great fish for small tanks.
Well good luck for that venture.

Considering using optiwhite glass for the 2 visible panels of the tank to get extra clarity

Any ideas for scaping around gouramis? Want to make a suitable home for them
gouramis like low flow and something to call their own. I would put in a big plant or rock for each gourami so that they can all have their own space. They will defend their plants against each other. Gouramis also love to eat shrimp, so I wouldn't put them together. They also like low water flow, and if you want to breed them, no surface agitation. They appreciate floating plants and low light as well.
