haggling a fish away from petsmart

went to an out of the way petsmart yesterday and to my surprise, in their "demo" tank (a 55 gallon), they had a beautiful 15 or 16 inch leopard sailfin pleco. he was active, well as active as he could be. just kept hopping from spot a to spot b in the tiny tank, usually taking 10 or 20 seconds to shimmy around just so he could turn back. I inquired and they said he was not for sale.

thinking about going back and trying to haggle with them to take him for my 260 gallon where I think he will be much better off. is that gauche?

Worth a try. U could prob get it cheap too

I agree with xDestro let them know it would be happier in your 260 gal.

Make sure you snap a few pics of your tank. Maybe they just don't believe you have a tank that big since many hobbyists go to the lfs instead?

alright good ideas all. I'll get some pics of the fish in it's small tank and get political if I have to but I'm just gonna try to talk them first lol.
