Hello; The Papa Johns guy is claiming the reduced TV viewership for the NFL is hurting business. Sounds the way I want things to go. The way to get the NFL to do something is to risk the money.
I made a partial list earlier of those who advertise during NFL games. I may write letters at some point but will avoid the products to a degree now. Also if I am not watching the games then my eyes do not see the ad. The super bowl ads??? That will be a big hit now that I think on it.

Not sure about equating his loss of pizza sales, to the protest. What do you guys think?
“I mean I don’t get it. We’ve got someone accused of sexual assault as our spokesman, our pizza is pretty expensive, we don’t pay our employees well, I raised the price of pizzas after saying I would donate $1 for each pizza sold, I said I’d rather close shop than raise pizza prices a quarter to give my employees health care, and I insert my **** face in every piece of promotional material that goes out. It’s gotta be the anthem stuff.” - Papa John, Probably

Hello; First thanks for posting in a respectful manner. I know little about the several things you mentioned. My take is the timing of the sales decline might shed some light on the why of the sales decline.
I think the minimum wage thing started a while back and has been a part of other things for a while. If I recall correctly Bernie S had that as a part of his platform for a long time. I guess I am getting at did the sales decline around the time of the minimum wage debate last year and before or more recently as this seasons kneeling protests got to be a big thing?

Did not know of the sexual assault thing. I do know that many of these claims turn out to be bogus. I know of two times young ladies made false claims to get back at another person. Some of the assault claims that made news in the past few years have turned out to be false when the truth came out. May not be the case for the PJ boss but I take such claims with a grain of salt until some real evidence is shown.

You are dead on about his sticking his face in the ad's. That one is spot on.

don't know about the $1 donation and the price rise. Most prices have risen for things of late. Not saying you are wrong, I just don't know.

Hello; Just read this article. I will have to think some of this out some more. The saints claim to all be standing for the anthem in recent games but have protested during the flag ceremony in this season earlier.
They say they are now taking a knee before the anthem and then standing during the anthem. This may be an acceptable way for teams to deal with the issue. I do not know about the potential wrinkles and have not thought it thru yet. I would like to see the process before making a personal decision. I guess if the kneeling is a clearly separate action from the flag ceremony then this could work out.

As I write the distinction between any protests and the flag ceremony needs to be very clear.

So I may get to add the Saints to my acceptable list.

The portion of my personality that holds a grudge wants any player or other team employee who disrespected the flag to get some sort of punishment. I doubt I will get that much no matter how it plays out. I guess I am for getting rid of Goodell regardless.

Well,at least the article is there, you'll just have to scroll down to it.....interesting article.

Hello; Link above about Papa John's considering pulling all ad's from NFL football. Apparently they are already cutting back some ad time.

J jaws7777 Afraid I fail to understand what the image you posted means for sure.
Is it about the shoes? Is it about the "respect to the vets" line? Is it about how Adidas supports the troops?

My initial impression is this is a positive, from my point of view, statement from Dak Prescott and Adidas about support of our military veterans.
