Been busy so haven’t gotten much done like I wanted too but went ahead and knocked out the stand. Gonna sand and fiberglass this weekend. Than start the pond armor.
What kind of fiberglass are you using? You’re doing that then the layers of pond armor?
I’m using fiberglass mat I got from west marine. A boating shop if you haven’t heard of them. And yes. I’m doing one layer of pond armor before I fiberglass too.
First coat applied. Not pretty but it should get the job done.
Haha yea I’ve seen some other people saying they wish they did. With your first coat did you just slap it on there ? Not worry to much about it being all perfect.
Yeah I just tried to make sure it was all covered. It levels out. The first coat soaks in so much I didn't have any drips. But the next few coats I had to make sure I didn't gob it on so I didn't get too many big runs down the tank. I still did get some, but now that there's water in there you can't see them unless you really try to find them.
Ok. Cool. Yea there’s a few runs but like you said not to worried about the first coat. Got a lot more sanding to do lol
How a power outrage all morning but was able to sand and get some fiberglass mat down today. I couldn’t decide on the mat or the cloth so I decided to do both. Gonna let this mat dry and than put a layer of cloth over it tomorrow.
