Drip system. Fool proof ?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Would u run the 1/4 ro line from the panel or run pex then put the adapter at the sump ?

Water heater > tee > 1/2” PEX > 1/2” PEX male x male MPT fitting (pipe thread) > female MPT coupler to 1/4” John G quest push fittings. RO line from there to the emitters at the sump.

If you’re doing a heated drip, avoid long distances of PEX. Poor heat transfer properties and the water will not flow through the PEX as quickly as it will with 1/4” line. It is less efficient at retaining heat. The faster you can get hot water from the hot water tank to the sump/tank, the more efficient it will be.

Awesome bro thx.

I can avoid the water heater and just go from the pex manifold.

So you think im good without the regulator (well water) ?

You bet. I can’t say if you’re good without a regulator. If the pressure is low odds are good but I am not knowledgeable on wells. I don’t know if they fluctuate etc..

if you know your pressure and it’s under 55 PSI you should be fine they are just less accurate at those higher pressures.

Do you have any examples of these fittings? I found a few but just want to check if I have these right.

The first one would be something similar to this, right?

For the Female coupler, something like this one?

Then running one of these into the female coupler on the other end?

Actually, yes.. exactly like those in the links (all three). I would post a pic of mine but 1) i'm not home and 2) you just linked similar parts to what I am running. The only difference being my john q guest push fittings are from bulk reef supply. They are much better than the HD ones.

Gonna check out brs now. Thx man.

So about the hot water a mixing valve wouldnt help right ? I was thinking of doing just doing 1gph hot water and another for cold

Can anyone point me towards a good chloramine removal method? It comes in at 2.2ppm at my house and I’m currently using 2 of the 10 inch Pentek chloramine busters- they’re just expensive to keep replacing as chloramine eats up carbon.
